Today has been my first fast day of the week. I usually eat Lean Cuisine rolls. Two servings of 200 takes me to 400. Normally, with a bunch of water, that is enough to hold me over. Last week, ‘hold me over’ meant waiting until we got junk food. Since we are sticking to it this week, I really needed to eat all 500 calories.
I thought if I waited until my husband got home to eat the last set of rolls, I wouldn’t break down for a slice of left over pizza. Long after the rolls were gone, he was eating pizza. That didn’t bother me until I started getting hungry again. I only had 100 calories to use so what ever I ate was going to be really healthy.
Suddenly, I remembered the can of green beans. I asked how many calories did it have. That is when I revived the best answer ever! It was 70 calories for the whole can. It was a win, win, win. I could eat, feel full, and not cheat today. I enjoyed them so much, I will have to pick up some more green beans.
Cheers to you, life, random projects, and NaBloPoMo Day Twenty. 🙂
