Monthly Archives: November 2013

Dear NaBloPoMo,

I will not miss you. I am sure you will not miss me either. I missed three days and I mostly had nothing to say. I don’t think I will be participating next year. Thank you for this learning experience. Neither one of us will be wasting our time in the future.

Relieved It Is Over!

Happy Thanksgiving

We see it in our stores and in our suburbs. Halloween decorations come down while Christmas decorations go up. As I type this there are only two houses that are decorated and they do not match. Picture a giant inflatable turkey donning a pilgrim hat on the lawn directly in front of you. And to your left you will see red and green lights strewn across a couple of bushes and matching bulbs for the garage lights. It makes me sad because as far as importance goes, Thanksgiving is on the top of the list.

If Christmas is the spirit of giving, then Thanksgiving is the spirit of already being happy with what you have. If you don’t take a minute now and then to be grateful for all the awesome things in your life, then you give way to feelings of lack. When you feel lack, you want, and when you want, Christmas turns into the spirit of getting. I hope everyone takes today to really think about what they are thankful for. It is easy to say, ‘I’m thankful for my family. Now let’s eat!’

It is 3:57 am right now. I am going to spend the rest of the day adding to this list. I promise it will just be a straight forward list. It will probably look similar to your list or your sisters list and you know what… I would be ecstatic that they made a list! I apologize in advance because a good portion of my list will be food. Now you can’t say I didn’t warn you. Also, it isn’t in a particular order. Don’t get mad because I said I was grateful for 20 something things before I mention a sibling or two. 😛

I am so privileged to have so many wonderful people and things in my life. I bet you are too. 🙂

Cheers to you, life, random projects, NaBloPoMo Day Twenty Eight, and Turkey Day!!

Cheer to you, life, random projects, NaBloPoMo Day Twenty-seven, and only 3 bottles… I mean days left to go.

Note: if I ever do NaBloPoMo again, I will have to plan the whole month out. If I do it again, and don’t plan the month out…. I will do 99 bottles again only the whole thing. The only reason I stopped is because this post would be the tower of time-wasting standing over 1,000 words high.

It is chicken nugget night at our house. We have BDubs honey bbq sauce to go with it. It makes me miss awesome sauce. I love awesome sauce but it isn’t for everybody. Awesome sauce it sweet. I first had it about two years ago. Since we can’t find it stores, we have turned to the online market place.

Bouncing around on google, I learned that it was a new product at the end of 2007. If I were to introduce a bbq sauce to the world, I would start in spring not fall. That way, when the summer comes around, everyone will be ready to try it. Anyway, the real name of awesome sauce is Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce.

I wrote all that yesterday. I was planing on adding my comments from Mondays Voice but… that didn’t happen. The only comment I really had was that Matthew sounded a little off. I’m pretty sure that his voice was just a little tired. I didn’t end up voting because I love everybody.

Today my neighbour asked me to babysit her cats for a couple of days. I am actually excited about it. They are very cute. I will stop by in the morning just to say hello. At night is when they get half a can of wet food. It is only for three and half days. I am a little upset with my self because I missed it. Right, before I left she asked me if I had a favourite character. I thought about it, and told her Tinkerbell. It wasn’t until later that I realized why she asked. She is probably planing on getting me something small with Tink on it to say thank you.

That is something Dan and I would do. Why I didn’t put two and two together sooner.. I actually is my fast day. I ate big can of green beans for a whole 140 calories. I have had water the rest of the day. When she offered me a glass of wine and to hang out until her family got home, I said sure. I bet I would have noticed, and said… no, not really.

Cheers to you, life, random projects, NaBloPoMo Day Twentysix, and my the late twenty-five.

Week Two-ish

This week we did not do the 5:2 diet. This week we did the 6:1 diet. Dan stuck to his one day, but had skittles his second day. My second fast day went slightly better. I had stayed up all night, so I slept all day. When i found out he cheated already, I begged to go to Federico’s. We got food around 5 pm so I went 16 hours without eating. Two tacos, beans, and rice filled me up. Overall, not the best week for us. The boys are playing video games so we didn’t watch the game today.

I think I am going to start keeping an actual food log. I usually log it on the Fitbit website. On days that I eat mostly junk food, I call it a cheat day. My cheat day is 3,000 calories. I don’t think that is accurate. I wish my step buddy would stick with me. She back slid this week. It happens sometimes. I have, lots of times. I am at that point where I am ready to up my step average every week. I want to help her at the same time. I thought it would be cool if we worked on the same goal.

Cheers to you, life, random projects, and NaBloPoMo Day Twenty-four!

This question / poll is not for children or wuss’. Please feel free to skip this one. 😉

This morning my husband and I had an interesting conversation. It started with one word, multitasking. Then it took and interesting turn. Please read the poll and pick an answer.

And More…

We have all heard the phrase ‘Anything you believe, you can achieve.’ They tell you that you can be whatever you want to be when you are a kid. They don’t tell you how, and They don’t give good examples of who has done it. (Unless you know how to look) That is of course, (of course!) until now.

It all started a couple of months ago. Nothing fancy, a friend shared a quote from some page and I liked it. I liked it so much I went to that page and poked around. The page had a small video about a book called ‘The Map’ by Boni Lonnsburry. Curiosity:  I must know more… show me more! With that, I surfed on to Amazon to check it out. Bought the book.

The book is exactly as it sounds. It is a very clear map of each step to take. Take a wrong turn by mistake? No worries, it also tells you how to get back on track. It is more and less than the law of attraction. Its more than sprinkle fairy dust and think a happy thought. It will show you what I believe to be how to actually get what you want in life. It is called Conscious Creation. Just like a Reese’s, there is no wrong way to get there.

Boni tells her story of how it started off with a bucket full of lemons and now she enjoys sweet tea. No lemons. Now we are all human with human emotions and we are bound to not feel great 100% of the time. I’m referring to the big stuff. Having the life you dream about.

Several months and a webinar later, I am still not following the method to a T. Despite that, I know it is working. I stopped about a month ago. Picked up a blog, to help myself get better at writing and random projects. I figured having random readers would hold me accountable. I recently went back to some of the things I wanted to work on. Two things popped out at me. 1. Becoming a better writer is easy  2. I wanted to write everyday. It’s funny how energy vibrating in the background can push you forward… even without you realizing it is happening. If you could learn how to use that energy to push your self forward, would you?

I intend to look at my intentions more often. 😉  I have talked to a couple of close friends and family members about purchasing this mind-blowing book. I know it isn’t for everybody but I see the potential gift it could be. I plan on getting one for my mom. If I was Oprah, or any other name associated with abundance, I would give everyone a copy. I am not there yet. I can only insist that you check it out.

I am done rambling on about how awesome this is. If you are curious to learn how to walk into that dream life you have always imagined:   is the place for you.

Cheers to you, life, random projects, NaBloPoMo Day Twenty-two, and Disney becoming reality.
